History

St. Anne Parish has served the Catholic community of Barrington since the early 1860's.  In April of 1927, construction began on a Parish school.  On September 8, 1927, with an enrollment of 77 children, the school opened its doors.  Due to increasing enrollment, a new school building was constructed and dedicated in April 1961.

This building, along with the vital parish Center, services a student population today of approximately 575 students representing 330 families in the Barrington area.

St. Anne Parish has recently embarked on a $12 million Campus Development program of which approximately $3.5 million was designated for the expansion and refurbishing of school structures.

With the leadership of Principal Sister Ann Bush and a 35-member faculty and staff, St. Anne School provides a strong Pre Kindergarten through Eighth Grade Catholic education for its students.  The St. Anne staff includes resource teachers, a psychological consultant, and a technological consultant.  St. Anne School also offers foreign language, band, art, music, and P.E. programs.  Because of the success achieved by our graduates as they continue their academic pursuits, we are confident in our programs and proud of our faculty, staff and students.  The world we live in creates many new challenges and pressures for our young people to face.  Parents and family members are similarly challenged to provide the love, support, and encouragement so vital to equipping our children with the values, principles, and firm foundation to help them with the choices that lie ahead.

This Parish Community strongly believes that Christian value-centered education is the best life-gift, and the best foundation we can give our children to help prepare them for the future.

All of us at St. Anne welcome your interest in our educational community.  When entrusted to share our talents and blessings with your child, we will work hard to provide the very best environment for the spiritual, academic, and social development of your young person.  We invite you to join our Partnership of students, parents, teachers, and the Parish community committed to helping our Parish and our School flourish.
