Registration for currently enrolled students and their siblings will end on January 13.
REGISTRATION:
Registration for the 2006-07 school year has begun for currently enrolled
students and will end on Friday, January 13.
Registration involves completing the following steps: 1.
Complete the Intent
to Register Form and return it to the school office by January 14, with
the grade appropriate per student non-refundable
registration fee . Please
note that this is not a deposit against tuition. 2. If you are a Playground Supervisor for the current school year (2005-2006), you may deduct your playground credit earned August through December from your registration fee. Please note this information on the registration form. If you do not deduct your credit, we will assume you are donating your time to our school. 3. Once we have received your completed registration form and the School Advisory Board has determined tuition and student fees, a Tuition Contract and a mandatory Student Information Sheet will be sent to you for your completion. You can expect to receive your Tuition Contract during the month of March. Directions for completing the contract will be included. 4. When you have returned the completed Tuition Contract and Student Information Sheet, we will send you a letter indicating your student is enrolled or has been placed on a waiting list. BEGINNING JANUARY 30, ANY UNCLAIMED CLASSROOM SPOTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE TO NEW PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES. Additionally, class assignments will be released in June and admissions to school the first day will be denied if required paperwork is missing. Receiving your student's acceptance letter only holds the classroom spot through the open registration period. New families may request information by mail, or stop in the office to pick up a registration packet during the hours of 9:00AM and 3:00PM beginning on January 30 and running through February 10. Please note applicants are not accepted on a first come first serve basis. Rather registrations will be accepted according to the registration guidelines in School Advisory Board Policy #311 FINANCIAL
AID: The School Board also has an approved Financial Aid policy in place.
This policy is available in the school office. The tuition assistance program available
for the 2005-06 school year will consist of reductions or waivers in
tuition. In order to assure
fairness and consistency, we have contracted with Private School Aid Service of
Lakewood, Ohio to analyze applications and make determinations regarding the
amounts of grants to be awarded. You
may request a PSAS application from the school office.
The application must be filled out in its entirety and submitted along
with a check for $19.00 mailed directly to PSAS.
All applications
for aid must be postmarked by May 1, 2006.
Applicants will be notified by mail in June
regarding the determinations that have been made.
The awarding of financial assistance will not be made public in any
official manner. and will be kept in strict
confidence. Financial assistance is awarded for one school year only and for Gr.
1-8 only. Families must reapply each year if they desire to continue to
participate in this program. Uniforms: Students in grades Kindergarten through eight will wear uniforms as outlined in the Parent-Student Handbook. Uniform pieces must be purchased from our uniform company, Cloz, Dennis or Land's End. Gym Class Attire: Students in Gr. K-2 will not change clothes for gym classes. However, these students will need a separate pair of gym shoes (which are to be kept at school) to be used for gym classes only. Students in grades 3-8 will need to purchase a P.E. uniform from the uniform company as well. Bus Service: Bus service to St. Anne is offered to any student who lives within the boundaries of Barrington School District #220. However, If you live outside of the D220 boundaries, you may be eligible for parent paid busing. Schedules and routes are determined by the Barrington Transportation, which can be reached at (847) 381-1043. Please note that there are no half day KDG busses available at morning dismissal or afternoon arrival. All KDG students may ride the public Middle School busses for AM arrival and PM dismissal. Length of Day: Our school day will run from 8:15 a.m. (tardy bell) until 3:10 p.m. for Gr. 1-8. (morning doors will open at 8:00 a.m.). Please be aware that each Wednesday Gr. K-8 will dismiss at 2:40PM in accordance with D220's staff development schedule. Kindergarten sessions will be as follows:
Preschool schedule will be as follows:
Extended Care: A before and after care program is offered in Gr. K-8 on all days school is in session. Morning hours begin at 7:00 until 8:00AM. Afternoon hours will run from 3:10 (2:45 on Wednesday) until 5:30PM. Registration for this program will be sent home at a later date. No Extended Care will be available for Pre-School students. Class Size: Archdiocesan Policy establishes class size between 30-35. St. Anne has established a local limit of 15 for 3 yr. Preschool, 20 for 4 yr. Preschool, 20 in Kindergarten and 30 in Gr. 1-8. Illinois State Health Requirements: Students coming to school for the first time (whether entering Pre-school or Kindergarten) and students going to Gr. 5 will need a physical examination. In addition, any student transferring in from another state is required to have a current (within one year) school physical. Forms will be sent home at a later date and must be returned by August 15. Illinois State Dental Requirements: New this year is a mandatory requirement for dental exams. Students entering Kindergarten, Grade 2, and Grade 6 will be required to have a dental exam. This dental exam form must be cokmpleted by your dentist and returned to school by May 1, 2006. School Supplies: School supply lists will be sent home at a later date. Home & School will once again offer families the opportunity to purchase supply kits through School Kidz.com at a later date Calendar: Dates for the 2006-07 school year have not yet been determined.
